Hub on Campus Gainesville Third Ave Takes Measures to Improve Resident Experience Company addressing resident concerns with increased support on new building challenges

GAINESVILLE, FL – Hub on Campus Gainesville Third Avenue announced its continuing commitment to resolving building issues and improving the resident experience.  Since residents moved in on August 25, 2020, a few issues remain that the corporate and site staff have been working around the clock to resolve.

One of the main concerns was internet connectivity issues for some of the residents. Hub has upgraded the internet equipment and received word from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) that the service has been significantly restored. “The internet is arguably the most important amenity for our residents, and having a prolonged outage is not acceptable, especially when classes are predominantly online,” says Benjamin Modleski, President of Property Management for Core Spaces, the parent company of the Hub on Campus brand. “Our focus has been resolving the issue as quickly as possible to make sure our residents are connected.”

A neighborhood power outage that also affected the Publix supermarket happened in the first week after residents moved in, causing every AC unit needing to be reset.  The staff worked through each unit to reset the systems as quickly as possible.

"Our team is passionate about providing a great resident experience. We have and are continuing to take extensive measures to make our buildings comfortable and welcoming for our residents. We know it has been a frustrating experience, and we are truly sorry they have had to endure these challenges,” says LaFerrier. “I want our residents to know that their experience matters to the entire Hub team and me, and we expect to have things resolved quickly,” says Danielle LaFerrier, Property Manager at Hub Gainesville.

Despite challenges, Hub continues ensuring resident satisfaction through the ease of communication and world-class hospitality. “The communication with staff and myself since move-in has been excellent …[we had] some issues regarding the apartment,” shared David Yudell, a parent to one of the residents, “...but the staff at The Hub were very professional and took care of business. My son and his roommates are looking forward to as good a year.”

Email or in-person contact is the swiftest way to contact a team member, but a customer service hotline was established to better support residents between the hours and 10 am to 7 pm EST Tuesday – Friday. Additionally, the sales and leasing office has set hours exclusively for residents, including extended evening hours to 9 pm on some nights. “Hub is a community, and we want to make sure that residents feel heard and supported. The world and our times are challenging right now, and we want to make sure that we do everything we can to provide a good living experience,” says LaFerrier. Anyone is welcome to stop by during regular office hours of 10 am – 7 pm, but exclusive resident hours provide direct access to the Hub team allowing residents to voice their concerns and have community support. In addition to giving twice-weekly updates to residents on building progress, residents can also receive live updates through their Mobile App or resident portal.

Another parent, Julio Duran, initially said, “I had a couple concerns and problems. I was able to speak to the property manager Danielle. She was cordial, professional, and was able to resolve my issues quickly and properly. I appreciate her help with everything she did for my daughter - she has definitely changed the way I think about the Hub right now because I know it's a new building, and she has a lot of work ahead of her.”
