Fresno, CA (August 25, 2021) – A school bus and four other vehicles were involved in a collision in central Fresno on the morning of Tuesday, August 24. Reports indicate that the crash happened at the intersection of Clinton and Fruit for reasons still under police investigation.

Authorities stated that a sedan and a pickup truck were involved in a crash at the intersection. The truck then struck a signal light pole while the sedan was pushed into the school bus. At the time, the school bus was stopped at a red light.

Of the 12 students on the bus at the time, none of them were injured. Two were transported to the hospital at the parents’ request due to them being non-verbal. A tire from the pickup truck was ejected into two other stopped vehicles.

One of those drivers was transported to the hospital with injuries along with a passenger present in the sedan that was pushed into the school bus. Currently, it remains unclear what caused the collision.

Police in Fresno continue to investigate. Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of a full recovery.
