Deep Ellum office tower lands fast-growing Dallas startup as major tenant - The Dallas Morning News

A new Deep Ellum office tower has just landed a major tenant.

Bestow, a digital life insurance firm, is moving from downtown’s St. Paul Place to The Stack, a 16-story office and retail tower. The Dallas-based company has taken 42,000 square feet of offices in the building on Commerce Street just east of downtown Dallas.

“We’re thrilled to expand our footprint in Dallas and be part of this growing tech community,” Jonathan Abelmann, co-founder and president of Bestow, said in a statement. “We were instantly drawn to the Deep Ellum area of Dallas because it’s a unique, flourishing and central location with convenient access to really attractive amenities for our team.

“Bestow is growing rapidly, and we look forward to this new space being a central hub for our hybrid team where they can enjoy in-person collaboration that fosters creative and innovative thinking.”

Bestow, which sells insurance policies through its online platform, has recently landed $145 million in backing to expand its operations.

The company just announced that it is buying Centurion Life Insurance Co, which is licensed to sell life insurance in 47 states and the District of Columbia.

“We are excited to welcome Bestow to The Stack Deep Ellum,” Ben Brewer, senior managing director at Hines, said in a statement. “Our partnership has worked with some of the best designers to create a building that will facilitate the growth of culture and employee engagement.”
