On August 28, 2021, at approximately 12:20 AM, Plumstead Township Police were dispatched to the 4700 block of Stump Road for the report of pedestrian being struck by a vehicle and the striking vehicle was no longer on scene. When responding officers and EMS arrived on scene, they determined a 61-year-old Pipersville male sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Officers were able to locate the striking vehicle less than a mile away from the crash and determined the vehicle was being operated by Charlotte Kleckner, 27, of Doylestown. Kleckner was taken into custody by the investigating officers and arraigned her on one count of Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury. Magisterial District Justice Lisa Gaier set her bail at $25,000 unsecured. The crash is still under investigation and the PTPD is asking if anyone was in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed the crash, please contact Officer Jeffrey Moffett at jmoffett@plumstead.gov or at 215-766-8741 ext. 123.
