Shonly Bonel Laguerre, student in social communication at the State University of Haiti, blogger and founder of Bustek Media is one of the ten finalists selected for the International Student Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie ( AUF) in partnership with TV5 Monde, France Médias Monde and Orient-Le Jour under the theme "60 seconds to convince".
In this competition, the contestants have to convince the jury in 60 seconds flat with a video presenting a business project. Laguerre had occasionally presented Bustek Media, a structure he has founded and dedicated to technology, entrepreneurship and personal development.
In a short interview with Loop, Laguerre indicates having received with "a feeling of joy and encouragement" the news of his selection as representative of Haiti but also of the Caribbean in this competition. He says he sees it as "one more reason to continue working despite all the difficulties" that students face on a daily basis in his country.
