Monroeville man charged in death of pedestrian struck on Mosside Boulevard - WTAE Pittsburgh

MONROEVILLE, Pa. —
A man is charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI in the death of a pedestrian who was struck in Monroeville Wednesday night, Allegheny County police said.

Police identified the suspect as Braden Chetsko, 22, of Monroeville, and said he was also charged with involuntary manslaughter, accidents involving death or personal injury while DUI, and failure to render aid.
County police said Monroeville officers responded to the 2700 block of Mosside Boulevard (Route 48) at about 9:20 p.m. and found the pedestrian, who was severely injured.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as James Scandrick, 50, of Bloomfield Hills, and said he was taken to UPMC East, where he died at 9:51 p.m.
Scandrick was struck by multiple vehicles, the medical examiner's office said.
