Faf du Plessis' century for the St Lucia Kings against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots was the 18th in the history of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

This was the South African's first franchise T20 hundred and the first of the 2021 Hero CPL.

Du Plessis, Colin Munro (2016), and Glenn Phillips (2018) are the only foreign players to score hundreds in the tournament.

It was also the second hundred in the tournament history by a player from the St Lucia franchise.

Chris Gayle got the first CPL hundred in the second edition of the tournament when he notched 111 not out against the St Lucia Zouks on 12 July 2014.

The Jamaican has gone on to record four centuries in all in the tournament.

Gayle is tied with Dwayne Smith with four hundred in the Hero CPL.

The Barbadian hit two centuries in both the 2014 and 2017 editions of the tournament.

Andre Russell's 121 not out against the Trinbago Knight Riders in August 2018 was one of the most remarkable in the tournament's history.

It came off only 49 balls and came after Russell took a hat-trick and a remarkable catch in his one-man assault on the Knight Riders.

Brandon King has the highest ever individual score in the history of the tournament.

Playing for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, King hit 132 not out off 72 balls against the Barbados Tridents at Providence in October 2019.

While the short-lived Antigua Hawskbills never gave up a hundred, the Jamaica Tallawahs have conceded the least number of centuries.
