Raleigh, NC (September 3, 2021) – At 4:48 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, September 3, a rollover accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Hillsborough Street and Western Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles forcefully collided, which caused one of them to overturn. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
