CARPHA: Cayman has highest rate of COVID vaccine doses per 100 | Loop Cayman Islands - Loop News Cayman

With 159 doses per 100 persons, Cayman is at the top of the pack of 26 Caribbean Member States when it comes to the level and rate of vaccination for COVID-19.

This is according to the latest September 2 report from the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA).

CARPHA shared that based on data reported by the PanAmerican Health Organisation (PAHO), as of August 27, 2021, approximately 3,734,136 doses have been administered in twenty-six Caribbean Member States.

  3. Aruba 137.3
  4. Bermuda 117.7
  5. Curacao 110
  6. Sint Maarten 108.2
  7. Anguilla 100.2
  8. St Eustatius 87.4
  9. Turks and Caicos 86.1
  10. St Kitts and Nevis 83.7
  11. British Virgin Islands 78.1
  12. Antigua and Barbuda 73.8
  13. Barbados 69
  14. Saba 67.3
  15. Trinidad and Tobago 62.7
  16. Guyana 59.2
  17. Dominica 56.4
  18. Belize 55.7
  19. Suriname 54
  20. Montserrat 52.3
  21. Grenada 37.6
  22. St Lucia 34.3
  23. The Bahamas 32.5
  24. St Vincent and the Grenadines 24
  25. Jamaica 16.7
  26. Haiti 0.3

Since each dose is counted in these statistics, the number of doses per 100 people can be higher than 100.

As of September 3, there have been 101,466 COVID-19 vaccinations given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 51,803 (73 per cent of 71,106) have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 49,663 (70 per cent) have completed the two-dose course.
