Stockton, CA (September 6, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol was on the scene of a car accident that took place in Stockton on Sunday, September 5. The accident was reported to have taken place on South Airport Way near East Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
Reports indicate that the collision took place at around 5:00 p.m. However, the contributing factors of the wreck have not been released at this time.
An unspecified number of vehicles were involved in the crash. Paramedics were observed on-site assisting injured parties.
Those with extensive injuries were transported from the scene to local hospitals for treatment. Currently, their identities have not been disclosed.
Drivers commuting in the area were asked to seek alternative travel routes while crews worked at the crash scene. Delays in traffic were observed for several hours.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
