Denver, CO (September 1, 2021) – Authorities in Denver were requested at the scene of a traffic-related incident that caused moderate delays on the interstate while leaving at least one person injured. Calls for assistance regarding a crash came in at around 8:07 a.m., on August 31.
Reports from the Denver Police Department indicate that a collision blocked the westbound ramp on Interstate 470 in the area of northbound US Highway 285 for an extended period. Crews spent quite a while at the scene as they worked to remove vehicles and debris from the roadway.
Emergency medical services responded to provide assistance shortly after police and firefighters closed off the roadway. Medics rendered aid to victims who sustained injuries in the accident. At least one person was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for care. At this time, investigations surrounding the collision are underway.
