Driver In Motorcycle Crash Who Fled Scene Caught: Officials - Patch.com

The driver of the motorcycle in a single-vehicle crash on Route 30 and LaGrange Road Monday night was caught Tuesday morning.
FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort police have arrested the driver in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Route 30 and LaGrange Road Monday night that resulted in a female passenger of the motorcycle being taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Frankfort Police Department Deputy Chief Kevin Keegan said.
Alan Gonzales, 53, of Chicago, was arrested Tuesday morning and taken to Silver Cross Hospital for his injuries, Keegan said. Gonzales was charged with: failure to remain at the scene of an accident with personal injury; aggravated reckless driving causing great bodily harm; operation of an uninsured motor vehicle; and violation of driver's license classification (no motorcycle license).
The crash happened at approximately 9:43 p.m., officials said. Police arrived on the scene to find Gonzales had fled, Keegan said. Police tracked a trail of blood to Elm Street but were unable to find Gonzales, Keegan said.
The extent of the female passenger's injuries were significant, Keegan said. Her current condition is unknown.
