Providence Forge woman finds connections across the globe as a blogger, social media influencer - Daily Press

As Anna Hartman is typing her blog entries, she still can’t believe that she’s likely writing for thousands of people.

“It’s surreal when I get messages from people all over,” Hartman says. “I’m thinking, ‘Wait, someone reads this other than my mom?!?’”

Definitely so: Hartman’s “Lifestyle by Anna Elizabeth” posts on beauty, fashion, food, travel, home decoration and most recently new motherhood have attracted more than 45,500 followers on Pinterest, 12,500 on Instagram and 1,900 on Facebook.

The 27-year-old Providence Forge resident, a mortgage loan closer by profession, now has paid partnerships with businesses to share recommended products, publishes ads on her blog, and this year released an ebook on how to increase audience and revenue on Pinterest.

The big payoff, though, is the bond Hartman feels with women — and a few men — who relate to her tips and honesty.

“I write from where I am in my life, like a journal,” she says. “A lot of my followers are around the same age, so it’s really fun. I feel like we’re all in it together.”

Hartman began blogging in 2013 to scratch a creative itch when she was bored with her receptionist job. What started as an event planning blog morphed into a lifestyle series that has drawn from her dating life, wedding, pregnancy and the birth of her first child.
