DeSoto Co, MS (September 9, 2021) – On Wednesday, September 8, local police were dispatched to DeSoto County to assist with a traffic incident.
The event happened at the intersection of MS-302 and Getwell Road, according to eyewitness reports. The collision was reported to local police at 8:14 p.m. that evening. According to emergency personnel on the scene, at least one person was injured.
All southbound lanes of the highway were shut down while first responders arrived on the scene. Medical staff treated the injured persons on the scene. Early reports did not specify the number of persons present at the time of the event. The extent of the injuries incurred as a result of the incident has yet to be determined.
Local law enforcement is now investigating the event. At this time, no more information has been supplied.
