Gautier, MS (September 10, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a major automobile collision in the Gautier on Thursday, September 9, according to local officials.
The collision happened late that afternoon, at 2:28 p.m., according to early reports. In Jackson County, the incident occurred along Interstate 10 WB around Exit 61. To aid the casualties, emergency services were summoned to the scene. Due to the collision, many lanes of the highway were closed.
There are limited data concerning the extent of the associated damages at this time. The area was momentarily closed when local officials arrived as paramedics treated people who had been injured in the tragedy. Ambulances were dispatched to the area, ready to transfer the injured to local hospitals for treatment.
There have been no more updates on the crash as of yet. The cause of the accident is being investigated by law enforcement officers.
