Lakewood, CO (September 4, 2021) – Emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a traffic-related incident that ended in injuries. At around 7:43 p.m., on September 3, calls for assistance came in regarding a crash on West 14th Avenue.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked West 14th Avenue at the intersection of Ames Street for an extended period. The police assisted the West Metro Fire Rescue on-site as they secured the area to clear the roadway.
One EMS unit responded to the scene to render aid to injured parties. An undisclosed number of people were transported to local hospitals where they underwent further care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by the Lakewood Police Department.
