Antioch, CA (September 14, 2021) – A fatal traffic accident occurred in Antioch on the afternoon of September 10, Friday. The wreck was reported to the California Highway Patrol shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Sources reveal that the accident involved two vehicles when it took place on State Route 4 near Hillcrest Avenue. Two traffic lanes were blocked due to the two-car crash. A black GMC Yukon and a small gray sedan collided in the area for reasons still under police investigation.
Information from the Antioch Police Department states that two American Medical Response units were requested at the scene in order to assist the injured victims. At least one patient was located on-site with serious injuries and another in critical condition.
Both victims were to be transported to an area medical center for treatment, however, one lost their life shortly after response teams arrived at the scene. Neither individual has been identified to the public at this time.
Authorities in Antioch continue to investigate the details of the incident.
