Athol Police Log: Sept. 1-6, 2021 - Athol Daily News

Wednesday, Sept. 1
12 a.m. – Tremont Street caller reported car alarm in the area going off/on for the last hour. Owner contacted and vehicle did not appear damaged in any way to cause the alarm to go off. Alarm silenced.
1:22 a.m. – Prospect Street caller reported a male and female, believed to be from the neighborhood, were on their property shining lights in the windows and caller also observed them on their Ring video. Ongoing issue. Officer did not find anyone on the property, but advised the reporting party that if they get any camera footage of this happening to notify police.
4:30 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident at Wellington and Crescent streets. Caller reported a dark pickup truck caused them to run off the road and hit a rock. No personal injuries, airbags or leaking fluids reported. The other involved party in the pickup did call police and was not aware of what had occurred. Both the caller/operator of the motor vehicle stated the truck pulled out onto Crescent Street directly in front of the oncoming vehicle (Toyota).
11:50 p.m. – Twitchell Street 911 caller reported that water was pouring into his residence. He had shut off the water main, but it was still flooding in from somewhere. A broken water pipe was found in the house and AFD assisted homeowner.
Thursday, Sept. 2
12:07 p.m. – School Street caller reported someone kicked in the downstairs door yesterday. Caller’s neighbor just told them about it today. Caller shared safety/security concerns because they...
