Byhalia, MS - David Austin Injured in Semi-Truck Crash on I-22 - Germany Law Firm PLLC - Bob Germany Law

Byhalia, MS (September 17, 2021) – An Arkansas man was injured following a two-vehicle accident in Byhalia on Thursday, September 16.
The accident was reported early that morning at around 5:30 a.m. According to local reports, 35-year-old Dustin M. Glidden of Alma, Michigan was traveling eastbound on Interstate 22 in a semi-trailer. It was then that the semi collided with a 2017 Jeep Compass near mile marker 13 just south of the interchange for Interstate 269.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the driver of the Jeep, 38-year-old David H. Austin of Forest City, Arkansas, entered the highway leading up to the crash. Both vehicles came to a stop in the median and caught fire. Austin was transported to Region One Health in Memphis for the treatment of sustained injuries.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
