TORRINGTON — Northwest Connecticut’s Chamber of Commerce’s 17th annual WOW! Forum, a daylong professional women’s conference, will be held Oct. 1 at The Warner Theatre’s Carole & Ray Neag Performing Arts Center in downtown Torrington. Tickets are on sale now at www.WOWFORUM.org
The theme for this year is “Mindfulness Matters”, and the seven speakers “are going to inspire attendees to face each challenge they encounter with a positive attitude and determination as well as share skills they can use to grow in their professional and personal lives,” according to the chamber.
The forum’s keynote speakers is Susan Wheeler, who at age 34, suffered debilitating injuries in a freak accident. Six years later, defying the odds, she ran for the first time in her life. To date, she has run more than 40 marathons, half-marathons, and ultra-marathons. Wheeler is a certified mindset coach, speaker, and author of The Lemonade Diet. A health and wellness expert, Susan leads a worldwide eight-figure sales organization and has recently become the company's newest millionaire. She is most passionate about inspiring people to slay their excuses and reach their full potential. She has four children, seven grandchildren, and two Jack Russell Terriers, and lives with her husband Mat on their organic farm in Goshen.
