Wendell, NC (September 16, 2021) – At 5:28 p.m. on Wednesday night, September 15, a rollover accident took place at an intersection in Wendell.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Major Slade Road and Turnipseed Road. Police arrived at the scene to find that two vehicles collided at the intersection, causing one of the vehicles to immediately overturn. The damaged vehicles were removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims in the overturned vehicle were injured in the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
