Total Wrecking & Environmental, one of the country’s leading industrial demolition contractors based in Buffalo, New York, continues its multi-year project at the Lakeland Electric C.D. McIntosh Jr. Power Plant with another dramatic implosion event.
On March 4th, 2023 at 11:00 am ET, selected press, community members, and project managers will gather to witness the second implosion phase of the Lakeland power plant project by felling a 225 ft fossil fuel-fired boiler.
As part of the event, Total Wrecking & Environmental is proud to sponsor WNY Heroes, Homes For Our Troops, and Polk County Veterans Council. Anyone who donates to these amazing foundations will receive an exclusive streaming link to watch the implosion live at home. Donate here: https://bit.ly/tweimplosion
TWE is also hosting a charity auction for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to Push the Plunger! and implode the boiler unit onsite with the Total Wrecking Crew and five of your favorite people! The ongoing Lakeland project is a multi-year project that will see several tons of metal and concrete, as well as 3 massive units, fully demolished.
Working within and around ongoing power plant operations has been a unique challenge as TWE helps clear the space for Lakeland. Specialized demolition crews, hyper-strategic planning, and deep knowledge of the largest-scale demolitions are all required to ensure this endeavor is performed safely and on time.
“Total Wrecking & Environmental is excited to restore another critical area within the Lakeland McIntosh Power Plant to make way for newer, cleaner energy facilities,” says Frank Bodami, Founder & CEO of Total Wrecking & Environmental LLC.
Total Wrecking & Environmental has several other exciting projects currently in the works, including a new contract within the Florida region, a complex abatement and demolition at APG Polytech in West Virginia, and a number of other industrial areas across the nation.
TWE previously raised $12,000 for Dreams Come True Jacksonville during a previous implosion event for the Jacksonville Electric Authority and $2,500 for Wounded Warrior Project as part of last month’s event at the C.D. McIntosh Jr.Power Plant.
