On October 18, 2023 - The city that never sleeps was buzzing with tech energy at the AI, GTM, and Sales Happy Hour, part of the ongoing New York Tech Week festivities. Sales productivity innovator Bearworks hosted the event with several leading technology firms to discuss the future of Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for both startups and enterprises.

Held at the iconic Datadog office in Times Square and attended by a full house of attendees from a 600-person waiting list, the event created an atmosphere that was nothing short of electric.

Bearworks brought together some of the brightest minds in the tech and sales sectors, including Andrew Klein from Starburst and Datadog, Megan Yen, the VP of Customer Success & Activation for Ramp, Joshua Estes, Head of Platform at Parameter Ventures and Sr. Partner at Estes Media, and Albert Wang, CEO of Bearworks and product leader at Datadog and Materialize.

The discussions were expansive, touching on the importance of understanding the customer value journey, scaling sales and marketing efforts for startups, and best practices for different GTM strategies like Product Led Growth (PLG), Sales Led Growth (SLG), and Marketing Led Growth (MLG).

A significant sentiment from the evening was aptly captured by one of the attendees: “Whether you're a budding startup focusing on the minimum viable audience or a well-established enterprise aiming for broader markets, it's essential to remember that creating genuine relationships and deeply understanding your customer's core problem remains at the heart of every successful GTM strategy. This still rings true.”

The evening wasn’t all business; attendees were treated to a delightful happy hour and a chance to network and engage with leading industry experts in the NYC tech community on a personal level.

The event was made possible by sponsors Datadog and Parameter Ventures. In addition, to the panel Bearworks was on the session also featured many panelists who enriched the discourse, including: Othmane Abou-Amal, Vikas Shanbhogue, Jonathan Lenaghan, Sharon Goldman, Sunny Manivannan, and Cassie Young.

This event is a testament to the vibrant tech community and its ability to innovate, foster relationships, and propel businesses into the future.
