Boutique consultancies The Coup public relations and Piar, a media intelligence firm, officially announce their collaboration to provide C-suite level and communications officers with data-driven reporting.
The first product to be launched from the collaboration is the Status & Trend Report - a 72-hour turnaround insight to uncover cultural trends based on traditional and social media insights. The report is available to firms operating in the US and/or UK.
The Coup operates from the creative hubs of Berlin, Germany, and Athens, Greece to create a portfolio of global media coverage for start-ups, brands, global corporations and their thought leaders. Focus markets include North America, UK, Germany and beyond, which the agency covers at competitive rates.
Piar is a NYC-based media intelligence firm founded by former analysts from the world's leading media intelligence firms. The team serves clients of all shapes and sizes (startups & NGOs to Fortune 500), placing them at the forefront of global best practices.
Priced at $900, the Status & Trend Report provides quick insights or a fresh perspective snapshot for CEOs and CMOs, creative agencies preparing for a client pitch, and in-house public relations professionals.
"There is a massive demand for social listening insights. However, we have found that brands have a blind spot when it comes to the vast resources of traditional media and their research capabilities," says Melanie Marten, Owner and Consultant at The Coup since 2010.
Marten adds: "Established traditional and special interest media are already the most valuable source for taking the pulse of cultural trends and identifying experts, influencers and community-driven trends. We don't only monitor social media but also traditional media to fill this gap."
"Everyone acknowledges that we need to be data-driven, but there's a need for actual insights on what to do with the data we collect. We have the data, but we focus on actionable suggestions for the emerging trends and channels that we identify to not just collect another report, but to add true value," says Tan Sukhera, Owner and Consultant at Piar.
Sukhera adds: "Technology helps with the heavy lifting, structuring data, visualizing trends, and more. However, we still believe that our human expertise is the key to unlocking insights that technology cannot always provide. Dashboards are great, but they only show you a small part of the picture, and because they are usually off-the-shelf, they can lead to measurement bias. You measure what you are given, not what is necessarily important."
Deliverables of the Status & Trend Report include identification of missed channels, cultural trends, industry expertise, brand category insights, message measurement and goal alignment, and insights and action plan recommendations.
The goal is to facilitate the development of a comprehensive marketing communications plan tailored to the organization's needs by analyzing current and planned communications strategies and suggesting tactics to achieve desired results.
