The Empowerment Driven by Knowledge Coalition (EDKC) is proud to present the Learning 2 Exhale Creative Symposium, hosted by the inspiring Sophia Strother Lewis. This two-day symposium, in collaboration with Creative Waco, Waco Family & Faith International Film Festival, and Cue and Coda Films, LLC, is designed to empower survivors, advocates, aspiring entertainers, and community members to explore new opportunities through financial literacy, mental empowerment, and creative expression in filmmaking, music, and spoken word.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and grow at the Mark & Paula Hurd Welcome Center at Baylor University on Friday, October 11th and Saturday, October 12th. The symposium aims to provide survivors and community members with resources and education to expand their professional horizons and amplify their voices in the industry.
Host Sophia Strother Lewis, a serial lifestyle entrepreneur and survivor of sexual assault and domestic violence, brings a personal touch to the event. Having overcome significant challenges in her life, Sophia is committed to empowering others to embrace their voices and talents, regardless of their past experiences.
