A major Plano data center property has been acquired by an international real estate investor.
The more than 260,000-square-foot data center campus is at 3500 E. Plano Parkway near Bush Turnpike.
The property was developed by Colorado-based Flexential Corp. It's one of three data centers the company has in North Texas.
Now the Plano Parkway tech campus has sold to Invesco Real Estate, county deed records show.
The deal with Invesco will allow for a 130,000-square-foot expansion of the Plano complex.
"Our continued partnership with Legacy Investing and Invesco Real Estate allows Flexential to expand at an even faster rate to meet heightened demand in hypergrowth markets such as Plano, Texas and Portland," Chris Downie, Flexential CEO, said in a statement. "We are committed to continued investment in the 38 highly connected data centers in our platform of hybrid IT infrastructure solutions and are pleased that this partnership is enabling us to realize quick and efficient growth."
Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the country's fastest-growing data center markets with demand from both business clients and consumer transactions.
