Colorado Springs – Injuries Reported in Crash on I-25 - Burg Simpson

Colorado Springs, CO (August 24, 2021) – The Colorado Springs Police Department and firefighters were requested at the scene of an accident that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. At around 12:36 a.m., on August 24, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 25.

Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 25 in the area of Garden of the Gods Boulevard. The incident blocked the right shoulder of the roadway, causing some disruptions in traffic throughout the area. EMS tended to victims briefly while at the scene. Injured parties were subsequently transported to local hospitals where they underwent further medical care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
