Pike Co, MS (August 30, 2021) – Local police were sent to Pike County on Sunday, August 29 to help with a traffic incident. According to eyewitness testimony, the incident occurred on US-98 EB and Edna Drive. The crash was reported to local police about 10:50 a.m. that morning. All eastbound lanes were blocked. At least one person was hurt, according to emergency responders on the site. The injured people were treated on the spot by medical personnel. The severity of the injuries sustained as a result of the event is still unknown. Early reports did not specify the number of persons present at the time of the event.
