To the Editor:
I have helped raise six (6) grandchildren here in Chatham. Many of you know my husband and I from the sidelines at all their games, concerts, mini-marathons and graduations. We have loved every second of our experience here. Until now.
This year, unlike last, my grandkids are in class for almost 7 hours a day. Forced to wear a mask, in this 90+ degree hot humid weather is bordering on child abuse, in my opinion. They can't breathe, they choke and they are miserable. The real head-scratcher is that at lunchtime, all the kids take the masks off. So COVID germs only spread during classroom time I guess, according to Phil Murphy. That said, not one of them has complained. Yet I will as I speak out against this tyrannical rule that we have all been forced to suffer under for the past 18 months.
I realize there is not much our Board of Education can do as this is yet another Executive Order from the Dictator in Charge - Phil Murphy. But there is something all of us can do: VOTE HIM OUT.
My daughter as many of you know has spent years in Chatham being a tireless volunteer. Now she spends her time leading the Republican Party in Morris County. If you are connected to her on Facebook you can see how she is vilified for having a different opinion than what has become the loud and vocal Facebook social media mob comprised of radical liberals.
