Colorado Springs, CO – Injury Crash on US-24 Causes Delays - Burg Simpson

Colorado Springs, CO (August 29, 2021) – Authorities in the Colorado Springs area responded to the scene of a crash that ended in injuries. At around 7:16 a.m., on August 29, emergency crews were notified that a crash took place on US Highway 24.
Reports from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) show that a collision blocked the eastbound lanes of US Highway 24. The incident caused moderate delays in the area between Constitution Avenue and Garrett Road.
The Colorado State Patrol and firefighters closed off the roadway for an extended time as they worked to clear the area and restore the flow of traffic. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol.
