A jury in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas found Domino’s Pizza LLC liable for an accident caused by a delivery driver employed by a franchisee of the company in Souderton.
Attorneys representing the plaintiffs say they are unaware of any cases in Pennsylvania in which a franchisor has successfully been held liable for the actions of a franchisee’s employee, and they speculated that the case may lead to other franchisors being held responsible for negligence of their franchises throughout the state.
