Fresno, CA (September 4, 2021) – A fatal pedestrian crash in Fresno took the life of 78-year-old Dinh Nguyen last Thursday, August 26. The incident was reported to authorities in the area at around 6:45 a.m., according to reports.
As previously reported, the wreck took place at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Hamilton Avenue near Sequoia Middle School. Information from officials states that a vehicle headed south struck Nguyen under circumstances still being investigated.
Various responders were dispatched to the scene in order to render emergency aid. Sadly, Nguyen lost his life due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Currently, police in Fresno continue to investigate the details of the collision.
Delays in traffic were observed in the area for an extended period of time on the morning of August 26. Police worked to investigate the circumstances of the wreck while paramedics attempted life-saving efforts on the victim.
