Miami teased its new turnover chain ahead of Saturday’s game against Alabama. The 2021 chain’s debut did not go as planned as the call of the Alabama turnover was overturned and the chain had to be put back.
Despite the start-to-finish Crimson Tide blowout in Atlanta, the Canes’ official Twitter account decided to show off the new turnover chain during the game.

As one might expect, UM was called out for the questionable timing of the tweet. The CFB Twitter community did not hold back in the replies:
