New Bern, NC (September 4, 2021) – At 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, September 3, a motorcycle crash occurred at an intersection in New Bern.
According to New Bern Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and McCarthy Boulevard. A woman was driving her Hyundai in the area when she collided with a 2003 Harley Davidson also traveling in the area. The motorcycle was left with severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The male driver of the motorcycle was transported to Greenville Vidant Medical Center with severe injuries. His condition is not yet known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
