The Terps opened the 2021 season with a bang yesterday at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium, defeating the Mountaineers of West Virginia, 30-24. Led by 332 passing yards and three touchdowns by Taulia Tagovailoa, the Terps accumulated 496 yards of offense and forced four WVU turnovers, highlighted by a huge, game-changing interception by Jakorian Bennett in the fourth quarter.
