Trailing by 18 points with 4:37 to play in the third quarter, Florida State rallied back to take No. 9 Notre Dame to overtime Sunday night in Tallahassee before falling 41-38.

Redshirt junior Jordan Travis started the game for the Seminoles and played the first three-plus quarters but was forced to leave the field for a play after his helmet came off with 9:09 remaining in regulation, an NCAA rule.

Milton, who was seeing his first game action since suffering a devastating right knee injury on November 23, 2018, as a member of UCF, guided Florida State to the team’s final 10 points of the game. He finished 5-of-7 for 48 yards while adding 6 yards on 3 rushing attempts.

As Joe Tessitore said on the ESPN broadcast, Milton’s return was nothing short of a medical miracle, and fans and media alike were appreciative of the special moment they were witnessing.
