Legal experts discuss Alex Murdaugh case after law license suspension - ABC NEWS 4

It seems like every day there's a new twist in the Murdaugh investigation and Wednesday was no different.
The S.C. Supreme Court has suspended Alex Murdaugh's law license. Murdaugh resigned and announced plans to enter a substance abuse rehabilitation facility. On Saturday, he suffered a superficial gunshot wound to the head in Hampton County.
His wife and son, Maggie and Paul Murdaugh were murdered in Colleton County in June.
Through its disciplinary arm, the state Supreme Court placed an interim suspension on Alex Murdaugh's law license, pending an investigation. That's after his own family law firm PMPED accused him of stealing money.
Randolph "Randy" Murdaugh, IV released a statement Wednesday:
“I was shocked, just as the rest of my PMPED family, to learn of my brother, Alex’s, drug addiction and stealing of money. I love my law firm family and also love Alex as my brother. While I will support him in his recovery, I do not support, condone, or excuse his conduct in stealing by manipulating his most trusted relationships. I will continue to pursue my client’s interests with the highest degree of honesty and integrity, as I always have.”
“They have now suspended him (Alex Murdaugh) from the practice of law. The next shoe to drop will be criminal for him,” says former S.C. Attorney General Charlie Condon.
And as far as his family’s storied law firm?
“It’s a public relations nightmare. It’s a very prominent personal injury law firm,” says Condon.
