Vidalia, MS (September 8, 2021) – Two people were left with injuries in the aftermath of a car crash in Vidalia on Tuesday, September 7.
Reports from the Vidalia Police Department revealed that the accident took place at 11 a.m. that morning. Two vehicles reportedly collided at the junction of Murray Drive and Carter Street. Shortly after entering the intersection, a black Nissan was rear-ended by a white Ford Fiesta.
The impact caused the Nissan to leave the roadway. The car continued to crash into a utility pole. Both drivers were injured and transported to Trinity Hospital for treatment. At this time, the severity of the related injuries has not been confirmed. The identities of the injured parties were not provided.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
