- Video engagement has increased by 1000% compared to previous six months

Electric SUV series Extreme E has reached 100 million video views via its social media channels throughout 2021.
According to a report from YouGov Sport, the championship also saw over one billion impressions across its social media platforms at each of its opening X Prix races, located in Saudi Arabia and Senegal.
At the end of June 2021, Extreme E reported that video engagement increased by 1000 per cent in comparison to the six months prior. The series also stated a 400 per cent increase in engagement during this time.
Extreme E has seen particular success among young people on short-form video platform TikTok and multimedia messaging app Snapchat.
Since March 2021, the championship has increased its TikTok followers by 250,000. In addition, Extreme E’s ‘Send It’ series on Snapchat resulted in a 900,000 follower growth across all its social media platforms.
Additionally, the series is set to expand its reach in the Chinese market, launching on platforms Sina Weibo, Douyin and Kuaishou.
