Moselle, MS (September 9, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash in Moselle resulted in the injury of an Ellisville man on Monday, September 6.
The accident reportedly took place on US-11 near Rayner Road. Late that evening at around 7:30 p.m., 18-year-old Brandaysiya Lee of Shubuta was headed eastbound in a Jeep Liberty on Rayner. While attempting to cross US-11, she entered the path of a southbound Nissan Versa. Lee told authorities she was unable to see the vehicle.
Multiple emergency response units were at the scene. The Jeep was blocking the northbound lanes, and the Nissan was stopped off the roadway. Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the impact. The driver of the Nissan, 20-year-old Carlos Barrera of Ellisville was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. Lee declined transport.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
