Harris County, TX. (September 10, 2021)- 36-year-old Mike Martinez was killed, and Brenda Martinez was injured in a two-vehicle crash on September 3, 2021, in Harris County, Texas. The accident occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. on State Highway 249 near Breen Drive. Police reported that the driver of a southbound pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crossed into the northbound lane and crashed into a Chevrolet Trailblazer that was stopped at a red light. Mike, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead at the scene. Brenda, the Chevrolet driver, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The pickup driver has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and aggravated assault. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
