Evin Lewis hit a magnificent unbeaten hundred to propel St Kitts and Nevis Patriots into the semifinals of the 2021 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

The 29-year-old opener hit 11 sixes in a 52-ball knock of 102 not out to lead the Patriots to an eight-wicket win over the Trinbago Knight Riders.

Chasing 160 for victory, Lewis struck his fifth T20 hundred at an incredible strike rate of 196.15 to end a three-match losing streak for the Patriots.

The teams meet again on Sunday with the Knight Riders needing a win to ensure a place in the semifinals.

The Patriots now sit at the top of the CPL table on 12 points, with the Knight Riders in second place on 10 points.

Earlier on Saturday, the Guyana Amazon Warriors (10 points) beat the Jamaica Tallawahs (8 points) to take third place.

In the early match of the triple-header, St Lucia Kings (10 points) hold on to the fourth semifinal spot with a victory over the eliminated Barbados Royals (4 points).
