At 15, Liam Hogan may still be in high school, but his film debut in "Rushed" places the Savannah native in the thick of things in college.
The revenge thriller film premiered on Amazon and Apple TV on Aug. 27 and follows Barbara O' Brien (Siobhan Fallon Hogan) on her journey to avenge her son (Liam Hogan) after he was killed in a fraternity hazing incident. The film also stars Robert Patrick and Jake Weary, known for their roles in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "Animal Kingdom", respectively.
Before his feature film debut, Liam's only acting credit was a 2014 Jamie Casino Super Bowl commercial where his line to the Savannah-based personal injury attorney was "Daddy, what do you do when you go to work?"
He started filming "Rushed" two years ago, but being in front of a camera was never really a part of the plan; he was more interested in another playing field.
"I was more focused on football and sports, also lacrosse," Liam said. "But when I got asked to do an audition, I was like I'll definitely do that for sure."
Liam was sent the script, recorded an audition video and got the part for what would graduate him from TV commercial to the big screen.
"I was very excited," Liam said. "I have family members that are in the film, and it was just awesome because I've always wanted to do that. I've heard my aunt talk about her films and everything, and she's been in a lot of movies."
