Houston, TX. (September 13, 2021)- Shannon Deville was killed, and April Ward was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on September 12, 2021, in Houston, Texas. The accident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Hempstead Road near West 43rd Street. Police reported that a Ford pickup truck was disabled on the roadway when it was rear-ended by a Chrysler sedan. The Chrysler was then rear-ended by a Dodge pickup truck. Deville, a backseat passenger in the Chrysler, was pronounced dead at the scene. Ward, a front seat passenger in the Chrysler, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the Chrysler fled the scene on foot. No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
