Principles of use

We use these channels to inform and engage by:

  • sharing information on key announcements
  • sign-posting to recent publications, consultations and website updates
  • sharing information on awarding and regulation
  • sharing information from other government and stakeholder organisations, where relevant and appropriate

We will not use these channels to:

  • discuss party political issues

We will not automatically follow back any followers to our pages or profiles. If we do follow other accounts, or refer to existing hashtags in any of our content, it does not imply any kind of endorsement. If we share information from other websites or sources, it does not imply any kind of endorsement.

Our channels

We use our Twitter profiles to tweet, or retweet, about:

  • statements, announcements, statistics and research publications
  • quotes and pictures from speeches, visits and events
  • the latest content on our website, blog, and YouTube channel
  • information from other government departments, stakeholders, organisations and groups we think will be of interest to our followers
  • promote events hosted by Ofqual, such as webinars
  • campaign information
  • job vacancies

We aim to post regularly to our Twitter accounts, but the frequency is not set.

Facebook

We use Facebook to post:

  • statements, information about announcements, statistics and research publications
  • quotes and pictures from speeches, visits and events
  • the latest content on our website, blog, and YouTube channel
  • information...
