Dominic Drakes hit 48 not out as St Kitts and Nevis Patriots beat the St Lucia Kings off the last ball of a pulsating 2021 Caribbean Premier League final on Wednesday.
Chasing 160 for victory, the Patriots slipped into the danger zone having lost Chris Gayle, Lewis, and Sherfane Rutherford at 75/4 in 10.5 overs.
Drakes put on 44 with Fabian Allen (20) before getting the nine runs off the last over to win the match for the Patriots off the last ball.
Earlier, Rakeem Cornwall (43) and Roston Chase (43) gave a stuttering Kings innings some impetus, before Keemo Paul (39 not out) pushed the Kings to 159/7.
Patriots skipper Dwayne Bravo has now become only the second captain to win the CPL with two different teams.
The Patriots have won their first CPL title, while the Kings have now lost two straight finals.
