Knightdale, NC (September 15, 2021) – At 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning, September 15, a hit-and-run accident with injuries occurred in Knightdale.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at 1004 Big Oak Court. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene without stopping. The vehicles that stayed behind were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
