Orsino Thurman, who goes by the name "Iamtheone Cino," was arrested and now faces charges

MILWAUKEE —

A Milwaukee activist who was on the run from police in Illinois on Tuesday livestreamed the entire incident on social media.

There were some unique negotiations during the chase that helped bring Orsino Thurman into custody.

Thurman, a Milwaukee activist who goes by the name "Iamtheone Cino," was involved in the chase and standoff.

His encounter with officers lasted more than an hour.

He broadcast it live to followers on social media sites.

When police told Cino he was wanted, he refused to step out of his vehicle.

"There's been a domestic battery reported. We need to interview you in reference to that," an officer can be heard telling him.

"You have the wrong person," Cino replied.

"We're told you have a gun," the officer said.

"Who told you I have a gun?" Cino asked.

"Get out of the vehicle and lay flat on the ground," the officer demanded.

"Lay on the ground? Are you (expletive) stupid?" Cino asked rhetorically.

Police in Clinton, Illinois, said officers were after Thurman after an incident at a nearby hotel.

"Officers received information the suspect was wanted on active warrants, armed and left the scene with an infant," Police Chief Ben Lowers said.

"What are you gonna do to me?" Cino can be heard asking...
