Philippines places four countries under Red List amid COVID-19 pandemic - GMA News Online

MalacaƱang on Friday said the government's Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has updated its COVID-19 risk classification of countries, placing Grenada, Papua New Guinea, Serbia and Slovenia under its Red List from September 19 to 30.

Countries under Red List are deemed COVID-19 high risk areas, meaning there are more than 500 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the last 28 days and as such, travelers from these countries are banned from entering PH unless they are Filipinos on board repatriation or special commercial flights.

All of these four countries under Red List were different from the countries placed under Red List from September 12 to 18 which included Azerbaijan, Guadeloupe, Guam, Israel, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Saint Lucia and Switzerland.

Meanwhile, those included in the Green List are American Samoa, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Chad, China, Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), Gabon, Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China), Hungary, Madagascar, Mali, Federated States of Micronesia, Montserrat, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niger, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Poland, Saba (Special Municipality of the Kingdom of Netherlands), Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Sierra Leone, Sint Eustatius, Taiwan, Algeria, Bhutan, Cook Islands, Eritrea, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Nicaragua, Niue, North Korea, Saint Helena, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sudan, Syria, Tajikstan, Tanzania,...
