In separate incidents, two parked cars left unlocked lead to big thefts: University Heights police blotter - cleveland.com

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Theft from auto: Silsby Road
At 3:10 p.m. Sept. 6, a man, 33, reported that $3,800 worth of photographic equipment was stolen from his car as it was parked during the previous overnight hours in his unlocked car in the 3700 block of Silsby Road.
Theft from auto: Washington Boulevard
At 6:05 p.m. Sept. 12, a man, 20, reported that someone entered his car while it was parked, unlocked, in his open garage. Approximately $3,501 worth of valuables were stolen. The detective bureau is investigating.
Disturbance: Cedar Road
At 1:35 a.m. Sept. 6, police were dispatched to a home in the 13700 block of Cedar Road, where a loud party was taking place. Inside, officers found four male John Carroll University students and three of their female friends. Contraband was seized.
The matter was forwarded to the city prosecutor for potential charges.
Fraud: Laurelhurst Road
At 4:40 p.m. Sept. 6, a University Heights woman, 40, reported being the victim of identity theft. The woman told police that there were fraudulent charges made on her bank account over the past two months totaling $386.78. Police are investigating.
Disorderly conduct: Cedar Road
At 2 p.m. Sept. 6, a woman, 29, reported seeing on her doorbell camera a group of youths urinating in her yard. Police were unable to locate the youths.
Fictitious plates: Cedar Road
At 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9, an officer saw a car drive past that displayed fictitious plates. A traffic stop was conducted and it was learned...
